David Oesterreich, of Indianapolis IN, records under the nom d' disc, Uncle DaveO. He has been folksinging even longer than I have. His latest CD, THE REAL STORY!, packs no fewer than twenty three traditional tunes onto a CD, no larger than ordinary. The selections are as varied as a puppy's breakfast. Some you know, and some you will want to learn. He has a website, of course. (And Mike gave the URL)

Oh, Dave! Just got my CD and we are all enjoying it, so much!! Thanks!! What a wonderful mix and so well done! Took me right back to HearMe and PalTalk. I always loved it when you'd come in and sing.

Folks, in the liner notes, Dave says "I am a storyteller first, a singer second, and an instrumentalist third." As far as I am concerned he's a perfect blend of all three and very easy to listen to...I love what he does with his voice for the "stories" he relates and the pickin' is so complementary.

Well done, Dave, just wunnerfull!!

I got my copy today, and it's the most fun I've had listening to a new CD in quite a while. Dave and I like the same kind of songs, so this one was right up my alley. I really like it, Dave.

Uncle DaveO, you are a perfect example of how I think songs should be sung. When I play your CD it's the songs I hear and a singer who presents them as he feels the SONGS. I can admire a lovely voice and a clever presentation but for me it's the song not the singer that counts.

Dave,
Belated thanks for the great CD! I play it a lot on my computer while I'm working at the keyboard. You've been working too, at the banjo and voice! *** very professional! I appreciate your sending it. ("Coffee, not love" is my favorite.)
